NE-CDC trail

Today, we went to the North-East part of Singapore. I'll be writing the part when we went to the church. yong peng will write about the temple later on.

We went to the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary for our 2nd stop. We were told that it was one of singapore's oldest building. Specifically, the church is singapore's 3rd oldest building. The guide then told us how dangerous it was being a catholic chinese in the olden days. We also knew that the church protected them from the secret society. It was also explained to us that Father Casimir Saleille was known as the Singapore Hercules as he had a big strength.

As we went in the church, more explanation was told. Mother Mary is Jesus Christ Mother. St Joesph is Mother Mary's husband. This is what they assume as the Holy Family.

Also, there's a tomb stone of Father Casimir Saleille. Of course, it's in memory of him. We were told that he is buried underground as this church was built by him. There's also tombstone of other people but we didn't really see the name clearly.

OK! I've almost finished the part about the church. when yong peng comes here later on, she'll tell you more.
